What are eyelash extensions?
Like hair extensions, eyelash extensions add length and volume to human eyelashes. Eyelash extensions (silk/mink) are bonded one by one onto the natural lash, creating a fuller longer look. Extensions come in various makes, lengths, curls and thickness, and can be worn day and night, in the shower and swimming.

How are eyelash extensions applied?
Around 80+ (full set) weightless extensions are attached one at a time using a specially formulated bonding agent which is used to bond the extension to the natural lash. The technique is simple and does not damage your lashes. It is a painless, non-invasive procedure that does not require any medical operation or surgery.

Can I wear eye makeup?
You can still wear eye make-up but it is important not to use any oil based make-up. The properties in oil based products will loosen the bonding of the eyelashes.

Can I wear mascara on my semi-permanent eyelash extensions?
Yes but only a Water-based Mascara. If you are going to use mascara on the extensions only apply to the tips of the extensions with a very light hand. This will be enough to give your eyes that “pop” along with the extensions. Using mascara at the base of the extensions will result in a clumpy look, and removing will be difficult. Avoid wearing mascara for the first week of having your new lash extensions.

Can I perm, curl or tint the semi-permanent eyelash extensions?
No – perming, curling or tinting the lash extensions is not advisable. Tinting is recommended at least 24 hours before the procedure. And you will need to wait until a lash perm has grown out before getting extensions

How long do semi-permanent eyelash extensions last for?
The average lash lasts approximately 90 days however, factors such as lifestyle and general after care will affect how long the lashes last, so regular retouches (infills) every 2-3 weeks or in some case 4-5 weeks are recommended to keep your eyes looking stunning.

What are infills?
Naturally your lashes will fall out and new lashes will grow to replace the ones that have fallen out. To maintain a full look infills will be needed to replace lost lashes, every 2-3 weeks or 3-4 weeks depending on your own lashes and lash cycle.

Do eyelash extensions fall out over a certain period of time?
Since each lash extension is attached to a single eyelash, they will fall out naturally along with the natural lash. When an inexperienced professional applies lashes, s/he often applies one last extension to 3 or 4 natural lashes causing clumps or the lash to break and fall out. In addition your lashes might fall out if you pick, or rub your eyes.

Will your natural lashes get harmed or damaged by the extensions?
The biggest myth is that lash extensions ruin your own lashes. They do not if they are applied correctly and properly. They are safe and do not ruin the health of your natural lashes. Rubbing the eyes or tugging or pulling at the extensions can cause lash loss and even damage your natural lashes.

Do I have to get a full set of eyelash extensions?
A full set of eyelash extensions is recommended for a fuller effect although half sets are available for a more natural eyelash effect. If you have fair lashes and would like just a half set, a lash tint is recommended 24 hours prior to the lash extensions.
